Romania is one of the largest destination markets for webshops in the region, and the shipping is easy enough that the compliance side is often skipped. Your domestic registration — MOHU in Hungary, BDO in Poland, EKO-KOM in Czechia — has no effect in Romania. The parcels that cross the border place packaging on the Romanian market and create a Romanian obligation.
| What you have at home | What Romania needs |
|---|---|
| National producer registration | Separate Romanian registration |
| Domestic scheme or state system contract | Contract with a licensed Romanian organisation (OIREP) |
| Domestic reporting cycle | Monthly Environmental Fund declaration by the 25th, plus annual data report by 31 March |
| Local-language correspondence | Romanian-language filings and authority correspondence, handled by us |
We act as your authorised representative in Romania: registration, the scheme contract, the monthly calculation and filing, the payment amounts and deadlines, and any correspondence or inspection that follows. You keep sending one shipment file per month in whatever format your system exports.
Hungarian-speaking clients can work with us in Hungarian throughout, and we also maintain a Hungarian-language version of our core pages.
Send us your product and packaging types and roughly how much you ship to Romania. We reply with the obligations that apply to you and what registration would involve.
