How we work with sellers based outside Romania
No long onboarding project and no surprises on the invoice. The sequence below is the one we follow with every foreign client, and the first step costs nothing.
From first email to first filed return
- 11. You send four things
Product categories, packaging types, roughly how much you ship to Romania per year, and how you sell (own webshop, marketplace, Romanian fulfilment).
- 22. We send a written scope assessment — free
Which obligations apply, which do not, what past periods look like, and a quote. In English or Hungarian.
- 33. Mandate and documents
You appoint us as authorised representative. We list exactly which documents are needed and in what form.
- 44. Registration and PRO contract
We register you and put the producer responsibility organisation contract in place, then send you your registration data for marketplace use.
- 55. The monthly routine
You send one data file; we calculate, file by the 25th and tell you the amount and the payment reference. You get a confirmation of every filing.
- 66. Once a year
We file the annual data report in the national environmental information system and reconcile it against the monthly declarations.
What drives the price

We quote a monthly retainer plus a one-off registration fee after the free assessment. We do not publish a single figure here because a two-SKU webshop and a 4,000-SKU retailer are not the same job.
Not included in our fee
- The Environmental Fund contribution itself — paid by you, to the authority.
- The producer responsibility organisation fee — paid by you, to the scheme.
- Notary, legalisation, apostille and courier costs for your documents.
- Registration and reporting in other EU countries — we cover Romania.
- Product compliance outside EPR, such as product safety or labelling beyond packaging marking.
What you can expect from us

- Every filing confirmed to you, with the deadline tracked on our side.
- A plain statement when something is outside our scope, instead of a vague yes.
- Your complete file handed over if you ever change provider.

Frequently asked questions
- Is the assessment really free?
- Yes. You get a written answer on what applies to you and a quote. If you decide not to proceed, there is no invoice.
- How do we send monthly data?
- A spreadsheet by email is fine. If you can export shipment data by destination country from your shop system, we work with that format directly.
- How do we pay your fee?
- By bank transfer against an invoice from AK WASTEGUARD SRL, a Romanian company with a Romanian VAT number, so the reverse-charge rules apply for EU business clients.
- Do you sign an NDA?
- Yes, before you send commercial data if you prefer to have it in place first.
