Listing on eMAG puts you in front of Romanian consumers directly, which is exactly what triggers Romanian producer responsibility. Whether you ship from your own warehouse abroad or through eMAG's fulfilment, the packaging that reaches the Romanian customer is placed on the Romanian market and has to be declared here.
| Duty | Deadline or trigger |
|---|---|
| Romanian producer registration | Before you place goods on the market |
| Contract with a licensed organisation (OIREP) | Before the first reporting month |
| Monthly Environmental Fund declaration | 25th of the following month, zero months included |
| Annual data report | 31 March for the previous year |
| Authorised representative in Romania | For any producer without an establishment here |
Storing stock in a Romanian warehouse and letting the marketplace ship it is a logistics arrangement. The producer is the party that places the goods on the market, and that stays you unless a written arrangement explicitly transfers the duty.
What fulfilment does change is the packaging mix: part of the transport packaging may be added by the warehouse. We separate that when building the reporting base, so you declare what is actually yours.
Send us your product and packaging types and roughly how much you ship to Romania. We reply with the obligations that apply to you and what registration would involve.
